When Pat Mullen's wife sug-gested that a brewery from Maine should make a beer called Lobster Ale. a user-friendly red ale seemed to be the perfect brew, We scaled back on the heavily hopped formulas our neighbors produce. We then added slight amounts of black and dark crystal grains to produce a smooth. medium hopped brew. The result is a very flavorful and drinkable red ale with an extremely smooth finish. |

A Rave Review from Gary Monterosso Gary Monterosso, who reviews beer on Sirius Radio, recently rated our Lobster Ale and McGovern's Oatmeal Stout as the two best beers at a major beer show in Atlantic City. He called Lobster Ale the best "Session" beer he had had in years. He explained that "a session beer has a very unique, yet not overpowering flavor that goes well with all types of food and at any occasion". Lobster Ale has a distinctive flavor that it is hard to describe.
